MAP is a statistical program that allows the automatic calculation
of the thematic mapping accuracy using different methods and
different expected level of statistical confidence (see figure below).
The accuracy assessment methods used are both qualitative and
quantitative. In this latter case, the assessment can be done
by single point, by multiple points or by polygon area.
MAP
software is icluded in the
GeoVis package. Therefore, by
downloading and installing GeoVis
you would also install MAP.
